Potato Cannon
The Potato Cannon is Create's compressed-air weapon. It fires whatever you carry: potatoes, carrots, berries, cakes, even whole melons. Each kind of ammo has its own damage, speed and effect. With a Backtank on your back it stops wearing out: the air pays for every shot.

The item

A long copper barrel, a precision mechanism in the middle and an andesite stock. It is made in a Mechanical Crafter, since the recipe does not fit a normal crafting table: andesite alloy and a precision mechanism on one row, then three fluid pipes, with two copper ingots below.
Ammo

Hold right-click: the cannon takes the first valid ammo in your inventory. Each projectile leaves at two blocks per tick times its speed factor, then slowly drops. The most useful ones:
- Potato: 5 damage, knockback 1.5, 15-tick reload; planted if it lands on farmland.
- Carrot: 4 damage, faster (×1.45), 12 ticks; planted too.
- Golden Carrot: 12 damage, the strongest plain ammo.
- Sweet Berries: 3 damage, fired as a spread of 3.
- Honeyed Apple: 6 damage and Slowness II for 8 s.
- Blaze Cake: 15 damage, sets the target on fire for 12 s, sticky.
- Chorus Fruit: 3 damage and teleports the target within 10 blocks.
- Whole Melon or Pumpkin: big knockback (2), the block is placed where it lands.
- Golden Apple: 1 damage, but cures a zombie villager.
Air and wear

Without a tank, each shot takes 1 durability out of 100. With a filled Backtank worn, the cannon draws 4 air per shot: a full tank of 900 air fires 225 times, and the item's bar then shows the air left instead of wear. A real reserve for a raid or a base defence.
Enchantments
The cannon takes bow enchantments at the enchanting table, plus Looting for mobs. It also has its own, Potato Recovery, up to level III: each projectile has a 25, 37.5 then 50% chance to turn back into an item you can pick up. Infinity is refused. Note: in this version's code, only Potato Recovery is passed on to the projectile; Power and Punch show in the item's tooltip without changing the shot.
Reload and fire rate
Reload depends on the ammo: 5 ticks for beetroot, 15 for a potato, 100 for golden apples. When the reload is very short, the target keeps a longer invulnerability window: spamming beetroot does not multiply the damage. Spreads (berries) only send one projectile that can be recovered.
Beyond combat
A potato or a carrot that hits farmland stays there, planted: you can sow a field from afar. A whole melon or pumpkin is placed as a block where it lands. Chorus fruit teleports the target, handy to send a pesky mob away. And a golden apple cures a zombie villager from a distance.
On our server
Shots still follow the PvP rules and protected areas. A Backtank filled at a motor before you leave, a stack of golden carrots, and the cannon becomes the cheapest sidearm in the game.
Which ammo to pick
For everyday use, the baked potato: 5 damage and the target catches fire. Against a group, sweet berries and their spread. For one big hit, the golden carrot or the blaze cake, if you can spare them.
